Medium Specificity: Instagram

I've never actually had an Instagram myself, but I've wanted one. Also, The Little Mermaid is awesome and I wanted to make some mermaid puns. I was surprised at how long it took to make just a few slides. I had to search for a while to find a free template that worked with the programs on my computer. I don't have Photoshop or anything like that. Luckily I found one for Powerpoint. That is definitely something to keep in mind if I hope for my students to do something like this. I can't ask for anything too big or they won't be able to complete it in time. This is definitely a celebration of the medium and the movie. I am connecting to other Disney movies and making connections between characters because it's funny. I can definitely see how this could be used as a satirical medium but that's not my intention now. I'd rather enjoy Disney instead.
